Elpaal International School is one of the leading British International elementary schools in Ibadan Nigeria for children aged 2-11 years. Headteacher's Profile

Mrs. Evelyn Adebayo, is a graduate of English from the Lagos State University. She trained as a teacher at the London Southbank University London, where she gained her Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). She went on to obtain a Master's degree in Education (Psychology) from the renowned IOE, University College London- a world leading education research institute. She has several years of teaching experience in mainstream schools across the United Kingdom, where she held positions as; curriculum manager for Math, Phase leader and Teaching mentor of newly qualified teachers. Additionally, she has in-depth knowledge and qualification in teaching children with; Autism, Dyslexia and ADHD. Evelyn Adebayo belongs to several professional bodies within and outside Nigeria. She is the CEO at TEACHING REDEFINED INT'L CONSULT (TRIC), a teacher training and school improvements firm. She is an experienced teacher, mentor and teacher trainer.

Curriculum Statement

Our curriculum though mainly British, is broad in scope. The Pre-school operates using the EYFS programme, while our Primary, follow the National curriculum framework of England with elements of the Nigerian curriculum embedded.

Vision & Values

Specifically we aim to:

  • build a Christ-centered community of love

  • provide an education which develops the God-given gifts of the total child

  • value and respect differences in each pupil and provide enabling and supportive environments for each pupil to thrive

  • support each child to develop a positive self-image, self discipline and achieve their full potential

  • provide an enriched curriculum which displays breadth, balance and relevance and is differentiated to reflect individual needs and talents
